The chapel in Les Allamands

The chapel in Les Allamands

This chapel was built by the villagers between 1829 and 1834, after the idea was suggested by one of their number, Reverend Duboin, who had become the archpriest of Cluses.

Dedicated to Our Lady of Grace and the Holy Shroud.
The village of Les Allamands, which lies on the road to the Chablais and Valais areas, had a large population living there all year round until the First World War.
Nearby is a shrine containing a statue of the Virgin Mary. The shrine was built by Father Charpin and his parishioners from Ambilly who visited every summer.

All year round, daily.
